Quality Policy

1. The Laboratory for Earthquake Engineering, in addition to its educational and research activities inside the premises of the faculty of civil engineering of NTUA, provides clients who are interested for seismic tests services with use of a seismic simulator with 6 degrees of freedom.

2. The Laboratory has the fundamental policy to establish and preserve high quality standards in the field of seismic tests' services, having as a goal the satisfaction of our customers' e needs the expectations .

3. This policy for quality is carried out with the application and the development of a quality system which complies firmly with the International Standard ISO 9001:2015 and the established practices, in order to ensure, a satisfactory and efficient way of controlling all the activities which concern the test procedures. The preparation of specimens, the measurements and the exhibition of results are some of these activities. Simultaneously the Laboratory keeps the basic principles of fairness, independence and secrecy.

4. The director of the Laboratory is bound to facilitate all the necessary resources for the reassurance of quality of all the facilitated services and to procure the systematic education of the staff in order to attain quality and consciousness as a primal factor for its work.

5. The staff of the Laboratory is bound to implement firmly the policy system without any diversification.

6. The supervisor of Quality Assurance has the overall responsibility and the organizational power for the proper application of the Policy System of the laboratory.
